To set PSA options, please select File | Preferences menu item, or press Preferences button on the tool bar.
General
Folder to to store downloaded patches: browse for folder where the program will download the partches and update to.
Select the Check for newer version on startup option to allow program to connect to our web site (on startup) and notify you when/if the updated version of PSA is available.
Scanning
Here you can select what particular products (in Client and Server categories) have to be analysed against the patches released by Microsoft. If you don't have some of the products listed there, you can uncheck the appropriate options for better performance.
If Mark patch as installed if [...] option is enabled, the program will detect the patch existance only by verifying file versions, but not the Registry settings.
