1.2. Purpose and basic functions

ElcomSoft Distributed Agent is intended for providing computing time to the ElcomSoft Distributed Password Recovery server which in its turn uses it for recovery of documents which password is lost or forgotten.

The program allows:

- to be administered locally or remotely, in case of remote administration the business hours and priority are adjusted and taken from the server;

- to control business hours during which the processor can be used;

- to control work priorities;

- to be started as the system service and as normal application;

- to keep books the machine working hours;

- to keep books and if necessary to view the action reports.
