Control reviver activates disabled (grayed out) controls such as buttons, menu items, check boxes etc. You can either activate all disabled controls currently visible using the Automatically revive…  button, or use the second mouse button and drag the mouse pointer to the particular control you want to enable, and release the mouse; that control will be enabled.
