Some messengers (ICQ 6+, Yahoo IM 7.5+, Skype) save only the password hash, not the password itself. For such messengers, recovery of plaintext password is (theoretically) possible, but very time-consuming and not guaranteed, so AIMPR is not able to do that, but allows to transfer the messenger account credentioals (including saved password) to another computer.

To access this feature, simply press Backup/restore credentials button on program tool bar, and select an appropriate messenger (Backup [...]) from the list. The program prompts for the file name (*.imb); then, copy that file to the desired computer, install AIMPR there, and select Restore credentials menu item. Note: before restoring credentials, you have to install the same version of this messenger there (on the target computer).
